Vehicle Mount RFID Reader - IV7C - Intermec

Intermec introduces the the IV7C, latest addition to the company’s vehicle mount RFID reader. The IV7C, an EPCglobal compliant, is specialized designed RFID reader with capability to read RFID tags/transponder anywhere within reach of a forklift, such as in pallet and doorway.

Feature of IV7C vehicle mount RFID reader includes:

• Supports multiple air interfaces including ISO, Gen 2 and Class 1
• Rugged cast aluminum alloy housing, sealed to IP65
• Designed for serial attachment to Intermec’s CV60 vehicle mount computer
• General purpose inputs/outputs

The IV7C vehicle mount RFID reader integrate the CV30 vehicle mount computer (RS 232 connection), Load Backrest and Antenna Cells. This system delivers an integrated RFID system for warehouse data collection and warehouse management.

The IV7C vehicle mount RFID reader is built around a new and powerful RFID radio core that has received top marks in critical performance benchmarks. Independent testing lab ODIN technologies rated the radio as best-in-class for, among other things, dense reader mode, read rates and receive sensitivity.

The IV7 RFID reader is pack in aluminum housing with pre-drilled holes in the base plate to mount to fork truck. The IV7 vehicle mount RFID reader can be mounted in any position on the vehicle within 3.5 m (10 ft.) of the vehicle battery or power source such as a terminal strip.

The CV30 computer automatically updates warehouse database with product location information as the vehicle moves through transponder-equipped zones.

The IV7C vehicle mount RFID reader is able to read multiple air interface protocols, including ISO 18000-6b/6c, EPC UHF Gen 2.
