Texas Instruments Released Low-Power Programmable DSP

30 Oct, 2006. Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) announced TMS320C5506, new ultra low-power programmable digital signal processors (DSPs). The TMS320C5506 DSP requires just 0.12 mW of power in standby mode. This chip provide 128 KB on-chip memory and a full-speed USB 2.0 interface, suitable for application such as USB headsets, cordless phones and hands-free car phone kits.
