T2012 and the MSP-Mojo, New Target Boards for eZ430 Development Tool

Texas Instruments introduced two new target boards for the eZ430 development tool: the T2012 board and the MSP-Mojo board. The eZ430 evaluation and development tool (USB stick form factor) gives developers the resources to build  MSP430F20xx based application. T2012 features the MSP430F2012 with integrated 10-bit analog to digital converter (ADC) at 200K sampling per second.

eZ430 development tool use standard USB to connects to PC. It  is self-powered, requiring no extra cables or power supplies. Contained within the USB stick is an emulation interface board and an easily removable MSP430F2013 target board that can be replaced with the new T2012 target board or the MSP-Mojo board.



MSP-Mojo is product of Quickfilter Technologies, Texas Instruments third party. This target board has:a 512 tap digital filter chip and  the QF1D512 FIR engine, which allow  developers to perform digital filtering for applications that required precision digital filters such as  audio filtering, patient monitoring and vibration monitoring. The MSP-Mojo target board features the QF1D512 SavFIRe chip acting as a filter co-processor that offloads the filtering task from the MSP430 MCU and increases available bandwidth of the signal source.

MSP430F2012 and F2013 MCUs operate at up to 16 MIPS (programmable clock system) with no external components. The broad MSP430 MCU platform suitable for ultra-low power applications such as metering, instrumentation and intelligent sensing.
