STMicroelectronics is introducing its STM32 Value High-Density microcontrollers, 32-bit microcontrollers featuring extra program memory and integrated functions. STM32 Value Line family include devices from 16 to 512 Kbytes of embedded Flash memory providing a scalable alternative for cost-sensitive applications. STM32 Value Line family features external code/data memory interface and parallel interface mode for graphical LCD screen. In addition, extra package options, with up to 112 I/O pins, help designers manage more intensive communications between the microcontroller and other system components, such as sensors, status indicators, wireless subsystems and USB ports. STM32 Value High Density devices also target professional applications, such as metering, motor control and user-interface control in industrial and medical equipment.

Key features of STM32 Value High Density Line, include:

  • 24MHz processor; 1.25 DMIPS/MHz
  • 256 to 512 Kbytes Flash
  • 24 to 32 Kbytes SRAM
  • External memory interface for larger application code storage
  • LCD parallel interface support via external memory interface
  • 12-bit ADC with 1.2us conversion time
  • 12 x 16-bit timers including motor-control timer
  • 64-pin to 144-pin package options

STM32 Value High Density microcontrollers are priced from $2.18 in the 64-pin LQFP64 package for 256 Kbytes and $4.33 in the 144-pin LQFP144 package for 512 Kbytes, for quantities of 10K units.
