SDIO Hx v1.1 Software Stack for Windows Mobile and Windows CE Devices - BSQUARE

BSQUARE released the SDIO Hx v1.1, a software stack for Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices. This new version of  SDIO Hx supports the new Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) standard memory cards up to 32 GB.

This software stack is targeted for application which required high-performance and large size memory storage, such as photo printers, video cameras, card readers, MP3 player and portable media player.

SDIO Hx v1.1 supports:

  • Windows Mobile 6.0, the newest version of Microsoft's mobile software platform, as well as Windows Mobile 5.0 and Microsoft Windows CE 5.0
  • 4 - 32 GB SDHC (SD 2.0 High Capacity) memory cards and 2 GB and greater High Capacity MultiMediaCard (MMC) memory cards
  • OEMs' use of a single host controller to support multiple SDIO or SD slots saving BOM costs and device real estate
  • Drivers for popular host controllers including TI OMAP 2430, TI OMAP 850, Marvell PXA270, Marvell PXA3xx and Samsung 2440

SDIO Hx also enables rapid design of 802.11g Wi-Fi application with embedded SDIO slot. The Secure Digital bus architecture is a cost effective and a simpler way to implement Wi-Fi than other bus solutions.
