PIR Motion Detection Development Kit - CY3236A-PIRMOTION - Cypress

Cypress introduced new CY3236A-PIRMOTION PIR motion detection development kit. The new kit give designers easy-to-use tools to quickly complete PSoC (Programmable System-on-Chip) designs for wide variety of applications.

The human body radiates a certain amount of infrared light in the realm of about 10 micrometers at normal body temperature. PIR sensing captures this radiated light, filters the analog signals, converts those signals to digital and then uses the digital signals to control hardware depending on the application, for example, opening a door, waking up a kiosk, turning on a light, activating a wireless camera, activating a security alarm,  etc.

The CY3236A PIR motion detection development kit includes hardware, software, examples and documentation needed to implement all of these PIR sensing control functions in a CY8C27443 PSoC device.

About PSoC
The flexible PSoC resources allow designers to future-proof their products by enabling firmware-based changes during design, validation, production, and in the field. The unique PSoC flexibility shortens design cycle time and allows for late-breaking feature enhancements.
