Minidrive for Motion Control and PLC - IPS210- Technosoft

Technosoft introduced the IPS210 digital minidrive, designed for embedded motion control and PLC. The IPS210 high precision minidrive is based on the MotionChip DSP Control Technology. The dimension of this minidrive are 62×42×20 mm, small enough, make it easy to integrate in motion control applications with limited space.

The IPS210 able to control DC and stepper motors up to 2×12 W (24 V, 0.5 A), in open or closed loop modes. A single power supply is used for both logic and motor. The IPS210 drive works in either single-axis, multi-axis or stand-alone configurations. The motion controller uses the same high-level motion language for both DC and stepper motors.

IPS210 is programmable through the EasyMotion Studio software. Motion programming can also be done via a PC host using motion libraries (C, VB, Delphi, Labview), or a PLC using PLCopen libraries.

Various motion modes including torque, speed or position control, contouring, profiling, gearing, electronic camming and PVT are easily programmed and monitored through typical feedback devices like tacho and/or incremental encoders.

EasyMotion Studio includes EasySetUp for the drive/motor setup, and a Motion Wizard for the motion programming. The Motion Wizard provides a simple, graphical way of creating motion programs written in Technosoft Motion Language (TML). It automatically generates all the TML instructions, hence you don’t need to learn or write any TML code.

The Technosoft IPS210 communicate using  TML Language, high-level instruction set for the definition and the execution of complex motion sequences. The standard interfaces RS-232 and CAN 2.0B (optional) are at hand as communication options. An external adapter can be used for Ethernet communication.
