LG-KC1, an Marvell PXA320 based Smartphone on Korea WiBro 4G Network

Marvell and LG Electronics announced the availability of the LG-KC1 smartphone on Korea Telecom's high speed WiBro 4G network. The LG-KC1 smartphone, powered by Marvell PXA320 application processor (Monahans), with XScale technology, enables high-end graphics, multimedia and gaming capabilities for the new smartphone. The LG-KC1 smartphone boasts wireless internet capabilities using the WiBro 4G network, terrestrial DBM (digital multimedia broadcasting) for mobile television, Bluetooth and 2 mpx camera.

Marvell PXA320 processor features up to 800 MHz processing speed and offers advanced processing features. Those features enables outstanding compute and video performance for high-end, multimedia cell phones, smartphone and PDAs, enterprise-class devices and industrial embedded solutions. PXA320 processor is built on a low-power 90 nm process technology.

LG Korea has launched the KC1 handset which features WiBro connectivity. The phone is powered by Marvell Monahans CPU at 800 Mhz and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC Operating System. The KC1 sports a 2.8 inch touchscreen LCD, SD card slot Bluetooth and T-DMB receiver for watching digital TV on the move.
