GPON Optical Network Termination (ONT) SoC for Residential Optical Networks - BL2347 - BroadLight

BroadLight unveiled its BL2347 GPON Optical Network Termination (ONT) SoC targeted at residential Optical Networks. The BL2347 extends BroadLight's product coverage for all Optical Network Termination types by integrating Ethernet and voice switching.

The BL2347 GPON Optical Network Termination SoC integrates a VoIP DSP (digital signal processor) and a 4-port Ethernet switch and provides 1Gbps throughput performance on its gigabit Ethernet port. BL2347 offers Optical Network Termination equipment vendors the assurance that it will interoperate with any ITU-T G.984 compliant Optical Line Terminal (OLT).
