BlueCore5-Multimedia Bluetooth Features Text-to-Speech Capability - CSR & Rubidium

CSR announced that Rubidium’s Talking Caller ID text-to-speech (TTS) technology has been integrated into its  product, BlueCore5-Multimedia Bluetooth platform. This mean, end-users can now hear the caller’s name and number, announced by BlueCore5-Multimedia Bluetooth based devices.

Rubidium’s Talking Caller ID text-to-speech uses phonetic technology designed to convert the textual information displayed on a mobile handset into a natural-sounding speech announcement. The text-to-speech system includes thousands of native foreign names dictionary and linguistic analyzer, enabling natural and correct pronunciation of virtually any name.

CSR Bluetooth BlueCore5-Multimedia Chip

Rubidium is one of CSR’s eXtension Partner Programme. The CSR’s BlueCore5-Multimedia is single-chip Bluetooth platform to support a host of third-party software for enhanced audio capability and expanded functionality to add increased value to mobile handsets, headsets and automotive handsfree systems.

Later in the year, Rubidium's speaker independent speech recognition engine is also implemented into the BlueCore-Multimedia platform, providing exceptional voice interactive handsfree experience.
