Fujitsu announced the MB86R01 SoC for automotive navigation and dashboard system. The MB86R01 is based on ARM926EJ-S core, and it integrates networking capability, 2D and 3D graphics and support for various media interfaces. The MB86R01 chip includes a Fujitsu’s graphic-display controller, enabling compact and low cost in-car system graphics.

- The use of ARM core (ARM926EJ-S) enables standard software development environments
- Fujitsu’s graphics display controller is able to drive two displays and able to capture video streams. It offers high-resolution 2D and 3D graphics and video
- The chip features CAN and Media-LB(2) as in-car automotive networking interfaces, USB as a multimedia interface, IDE66 (Parallel-ATA/ATAPI-4) as a hard disk interface, 12S as an audio interface and supports DDR2 memory access.
