The Xilinx Automotive (XA) is programmable logic family for automotive applications. Xilinx automotive PLDs are already on the road in applications such as infotainment, driver assistance an entertainment.
This new 3D graphics accelerator provides a scalable path so customers only pay for what they need. The single screen solution is comprised of a 3D hardware acceleration IP core, a Xilinx MicroBlaze processor and display controller, all running on a Xilinx automotive qualified Spartan-3 XA device. Overlay, texturing, shading, and many other features of the core can be customized quickly and efficiently.
The Xilinx MicroBlaze solution is a scalable processor system that enables embedded developers to tune performance to match the requirements of target applications. The MicroBlaze core is supported with a comprehensive ecosystem of embedded design tools, processor IP library, and development platforms.
This new 3D graphics accelerator will be available from Xylon in March of 2007.
