Atmel has released new tiny 128K-bit SEEPROM (Serial EEPROM). The new chip is packed in an 8-pin 2 x 3 x 0.60mm ultra thin Micro Leadframe Package (MLP). The MLP package is ideal for compact and height constrained applications such as MP3 players, remote controls, digital cameras, mobile phones and Bluetooth modules.

The 8-pin ultra thin MLP (2 x 3 x 0.60mm) package is now offered in densities from 1K-bit to 128K-bit for the 2-wire SEEPROM (AT24) and 1K-bit to 64K-bit in the SPI SEEPROM (AT25) family.
