Ardence Announces Phar Lap Embedded RTOS Tool Suite v.14.0

Ardence announced the version 14.0 of its Phar Lap Embedded Tool Suite (ETS), a small footprint, stand alone embedded RTOS (Real Time Operating System). The latest version features updated support for the Microsoft Visual Studio product suite. It enhances the widely-deployed and well-known Microsoft Developer Studio IDE with a number of plug-ins.

The new version of Phar Lap Embedded Tool Suite offer some enhancements, including:
- Embedded StudioExpress support for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
- ETS applications can now be debugged over a TCP/IP network connection
- Expanded sample program support for all supported Visual Studio environments
- Usability enhancements to most Embedded Tool Suite utilities
- Many other device driver enhancements, additional Ethernet controller support, and more
Continuing its previous version, Phar Lap ETS also features:
- High Performance x86 RTOS: Sustained interrupt rates of > 30KHz
- Smallest Operational Footprint: <500KB with I/O, graphics, and TCP/IP
- Design Flexibility: Deployable in either monolithic or split kernel/application models
- Support for all Standard PC Hardware platforms
- Real-time File System: High speed media access with FAT16 and FAT32 support
