Agilent introduced its N8262A P-Series, the LXI-compliant power meter. This compact power meter supports LAN-based automated measurements of peak power, average power and peak-to-average ratio power. The Agilent N8262A P-Series is designed for seamless operation with widely used standards like Ethernet, Web browsers and IVI drivers, and integrates easily to work with existing test assets. With the convenience of LAN, users can perform remote access and control via a Web browser and bundled soft front panel GUI, virtually anywhere.

The Agilent N8262A P-Series modular power meter is LXI Class C compliant. It has a high sampling rate of 100 MSa/s for fast, accurate and repeatable power measurements. Besides power measurements, the N8262A also performs time and CCDF statistical measurements.
Users can program the N8262A with various programming languages, including Agilent VEE, LabVIEW, LabWindows, C, C++ and MATLAB. For more complex analysis and advanced troubleshooting functions, the optional N1918A Power Analysis Manager software is available.
The Agilent N8262A is code-compatible with the Agilent P-Series power meters, and backward compatible with the P-Series, E-Series (except E9320) and 8480 Series power sensors. When used with the P-Series wideband power sensors, it offers a 30 MHz video bandwidth, up to 40GHz frequency coverage, a wide dynamic range of -35 dBm to +20 dBm and internal zeroing capability.
The Agilent N8262A P-Series modular power meter is available now and is priced at US$11,474.
