Actel’s Fusion Embedded Development Kit with its around 1.5M gate M1AFS1500 Fusion device, enables developers to quickly prototype programmable logic, microprocessor core and analog blocks. Using this kit, developers can easily integrate custom logic and programmable analog features into their embedded processor designs. The kit features the Fusion mixed-signal FPGA and supports a variety of processors, including Core8051 and ARM Cortex-M1 (license-free versions).

The Fusion Embedded Development Kit contains a modular board with an ARM Cortex-M1-enabled Fusion M1AFS1500 device. Actel Fusion integrates configurable analog, large flash memory blocks, flash-based programmable logic, and comprehensive clock generation & management circuitry into single chip solution. The included programming stick enables easy experimentation with ISP, device serialization, and FlashLock on-chip system security.

Actel’s Fusion Embedded Development Kit includes:

  • Evaluation board with an M1AFS1500 Fusion device
    • M1AFS1500 has 1,500,000 system gates and 1 MB nonvolatile flash memory
    • 512 KB SRAM
    • 2 MB SPI flash
    • Dynamic reconfigurable analog and flash memory

    • USB to UART for serial connection
